Our Beliefs

UNITY

In essential beliefs, we believe we have UNITY.

  • “There is one Body and one Spirit…there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all…”

LIBERTY

In non-essential beliefs, we believe we have LIBERTY.

  • “Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters…  Who are you to judge someone else’s servant?  To his own master he stands or falls…  So then each of us will give an account of himself to God…  So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God.”

CHARITY

In all our beliefs, we believe we show CHARITY.

  • “…If I hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but also the very secrets of God, and if I have the faith that can move mountains — but have no love, I amount to nothing at all.”

What We Believe

God is the Creator and Ruler of everything. He has always existed as three-in-one: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are perfectly united, equal in power and love. He is holy, just, and good—and desires a personal relationship with each of us.

Genesis 1:1,26,27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19;1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14

About God.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God—fully God and fully human.
He lived a perfect, sinless life and willingly died on the cross so we could be forgiven and restored to God. Three days later, He rose from the dead, defeating sin and death forever. One day, He will return as King to make all things new.

Matthew 1:22, 23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14,15; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4; Romans 1:3,4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14,15; Titus 2:13

About Jesus Christ.

About the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is God’s presence living in us as soon as we receive salvation. He makes us aware of our need for Jesus, gives us power to live differently, and guides us toward truth. He equips believers with spiritual gifts to serve others and strengthens us to walk in freedom every day.

2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18

About the Bible.

The Bible is God’s Word to us. Though written by human authors, every word was inspired by the Holy Spirit. It’s our ultimate source of truth for what we believe and how we live. Through it, God reveals His heart, His promises, and His plan for our lives.

2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20,21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105,160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5

About Humanity.

Every person was created in God’s image with incredible value and purpose. But our disobedience—called sin—broke our relationship with Him. Though sin separates us from God, He made a way for us to be restored through Jesus.

Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1, 2

Salvation is God’s free gift to us—it’s not something we can earn.
When we turn from self and put our trust in Jesus, He forgives our sins and gives us new life. The moment we receive Him, we begin a relationship that lasts forever. We’re saved and sustained by His grace, not by our own effort.

Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1; John 10:29; 2 Timothy 1:12; Hebrews 7:25, 10:10,14; 1 Peter 1:3-5

About Salvation.

About Eternity.

We were created to live forever—either eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally united with Him through salvation in Jesus. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence. To be apart from God is Hell, but to be with Him through forgiveness and grace is eternal life.

John 3:16; John 14:17; Romans 6:23; Romans 8:17-18; Revelation 20:15; 1 Corinthians 2:7-9

About Last Things.

In God’s perfect timing and in His own way, the world will come to its rightful end. Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory, just as He promised. When He comes, the dead will be raised, and Christ will judge all people with truth and righteousness.

1 Corinthians 4:5; 15:24-28, 35-58; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Thessalonians 4:14-18; 5:1
